The Trade Compliance Specialist will apply comprehensive trade compliance operations knowledge to perform a range of moderate to complex activities.


In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external business partners to drive continuous improvement. Manage the day-to-day compliance issues that delay clearance of goods through import / export entry process.


The key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Manage Trade Agreements for Exports and Imports
• Certificates of originals
• SARS Compliance
• Manage the entire Import & Export function including the relevant paperwork
• Coordinate global trade and compliance operations within a country or region to meet business goals.
• Apply a substantial understanding of global trade compliance operations practices and procedures to execute transactions.
• Ensure documents and data meet legal and fiscal requirements and records are maintained in accordance with guidelines.

The requirements:


Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Customs Broker License or equivalent

Experience:

• 5 years related work experience
• Extensive knowledge of trade agreements
• Extensive knowledge of import and export controls
• Extensive knowledge of HS codes and SARS RLA system

Skills Required:

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
